Desktop and Start Menu icons resetting to defaults

Hi, I just ran Office XP update and now when I restart all my customized desktop and right-side-Start-Menu icons and names reset to their XP defaults. Example: When I rename 'My Computer' 'Homey's Computer' and use 'Customize Desktop' to change the icon it goes back to the XP default 'My Computer' and icon after a restart. I know it's trivial but it's bugging me. Thanks in advance.
