Running Outlook 2007 SP2. When I am typing and a desktop alert pops up I
have no response to my typing until the alert goes away. Is there a solution
for this?
Thanks.

Did perhaps the focus get stolen to the popup bubble for the desktop alert?
If so, have you tried clicking back in your document to change focus back to
it and then see if you can type text into your document?

I tought I had the same problem at first, but then I noticed that without the
pop up, the same problem happens. It is linked to the send/receive task in
my case. Have you tried disabling the alert and see if the problem persists?
(try having someone send you 25 emails at once to see the problem.)

But still, I have no solution for my problem.

Forget this thread. I found our problem. It is our McAfee virus Scan. If
we deactivate the "on-delivery Email Scanner" it fixes the problem. Thanks
anyhow on your input.

Bobt morphed somehow into Michel? Looks more like Michel *hijacked* Bobt's
thread. Start a NEW thread for YOUR own discussion, Michel.
