Designing an application - MS web components or Sharepoint server?

Hi There
I am designing an application that shows business information in an
excel sort of format on the web (not necessary an excel file). I need
functions such as drill down tables, sort, copy, export, right click,
that sort of thing.

I am not sure if I should do this using microsoft web components or
sharepoint server! Please advise
