You could try using FrontPage to publish to your site:
Open the web, then File->Publish Web (Site in FP2003)
In the destination type in
ftp://mysite.com The URL must start with
ftp://,
the rest will be the same as you use in your FTP client.
Publishing with FrontPage will ensure that the _derived folder and its
content will be uploaded. However, not all FTP sites can be published to
with FP, it's a case of try it and see.
Some FTP clients will not display hidden files or folders in the PC window,
unless Windows is set to also display hidden files and folders.
Open Windows Explorer, then Tools->Folder Options - View tab
Select "Show hidden files and folders"
Click OK
