In order to get my app "Designed for Windows Mobile", I
need to use the Pocket PC application installation
mechanism. I have my application installing just fine by
running an .msi file from the ActiveSync Desktop.
However, after it installs, the message on the PDA
reads: "this app requires the installation of
sqlce.wce4.arm4v.cab for it to run properly. Install the
Cab file before running this application." So my
question is, how can I distribute this cab file with my
install? What is required by the Windows Mobile
certification for installing the sqlce cab file? Do I
need 2 separate installs where the user first runs
an .msi from the desktop for sqlce, then my application?
(FYI, I do have the sqlce cab files added to the insall
project as files in the File System on Target
Machine/Application file, but they are not there after
running the insall.
