Deployment on 2000 server sp4

When I try adding a new software package for installing via gpo, I have this
error message: "Add operation failed.Unable to extract deployment information
from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is
correct."
Latest installer, free space on sysvol drive, no office installed on server.
Any ideea?
