Well, its not that complicated... there are some pretty good
quickstart gudies that will help you going with MDT 2008.
If you are going to spend days with creating (and maintaining) images
for each model, you might as well spend them learning a deployment
solution that allows you to have only one image.
There are also MDT 2008 trainings to attend, check my blog for links.
