I have this sysprep-image, which I built on a Dell GX620 and i'm trying to
deploy on a Dell D410 Laptop.

When the machine starts after the image is downloaded, it just stops
responding at the "Wait" screen when detecting hardware. There is nothing to
do but push the button. When started again it runs all the way through the
mini-setup without any problems.

After examining the setupapi.log I found that it was at the detection of the
monitor the lockup occured. Searching the KB i found KB883667 which indicates
a hotfix might correct the issue. Unfortunately, it seems like the phones are
out at MS in Sweden so I can't call them to get the fix. How do I get the fix
mentioned in KB883667 for Swedish Windows XP Pro SP2?

Regards
Tobias

Unless you have a Premier Support agreement, you have to call Microsoft
support to get the fix. With Premier Support, you can download the fix from
the Premier web site, or you TAM can get it for you.

It's quite likely that this fix will address your problem.

Thx for the info.
I was in a hurry and really needed the fix.

Well, I called MS the day after and yes the phones had been out. I got the
fix and it indeed solved the problem.
