If I'm not mistaken, deploying MSDE as part of an XPe image has been technically possible but not a licensed solution. Yesterday Microsoft published a release candidate of the MSDE Deployment Toolkit, which deploys MSDE alongside an application using VS.NET 2003. While I realize the TECHNICAL aspects of this are different than including MSDE in an XPe runtime, the licensing aspect of 3rd parties distributing MSDE is similar
Does this mean that licensing restrictions on including MSDE in an XPe image will be lifted
