hello

i want to deploy windows defender on about 150 workstations and laptops
using GPO software install at logon, can any one tell me what steps i need to
tke or point me in the right direction

I've not followed Engel's link, but look at the switches for msiexec.

Windows Defender is explicitly NOT designed for this scenario. It will
allow your users to block actions to be taken by administrative scripts, for
example.

Microsoft does have a product for this environment--Microsoft Forefront
Client Security
