With all the new updates lately, I find myself in need of deploying updates
to our users PC in a more efficeint manner.
What steps do I need to take to deploy the Windows updates automaticly from
my Win 2K server to my users on Win 2K, Win XP machines?

I understand I need to create groups based on what OS ver.
But how do I
1. Check if update is needed.
2. Deploy

Any help would be appreciated, and save me alot of time.
Thanks in advance.

Mark

You should look into SUS (Software Update Service). Just search for it on
Microsoft's website.

We just finished deploying it where I work; seems to do the job.

I have it running on 4 different networks ranging from 10 to 50 clients per
and it is working very well.
