Deploy self signed certificate with GPO

I'm trying to deploy a self signed (from our internal CA) certificate across
our domain to allow users to access Outlook Web access over HTTPs.

I've deployed this certificate and it appears in the Trusted Root
Certification Authorities when viewing the certificates on a machine, yet
when trying to access the OWA the user always gets the warning message about
the certificate not matching the site name etc.

Am I missing something here as I thought deploying the certificate in this
way would make it trusted and remove these error messages?
