DEP Issue

I recently installed IE8 on my HP MCE 2005 XP SP3 system and after a
considerable amt of time to get around the Google Toolbar incompatibility,
successfully installed and use it. Now on numerous occasions, sometimes when
only the Desktop icons are on display, sometimes just after I've finished
with OE6, The DEP Warning box comes on.
Is there more of an incompatibilty here; can I or should I disable the DEP;
or since I don't find much advantage to IE8, go back to IE7?
