Deny computers access

Hi all

I have a situation where it is neccessary to completely deny a number of
computers on a network to some shared resources. I understand that you can
deny users or groups access but I need to do it for computers instead. Is
this possible? I've tried doing it by denying computers access to shared
resources but it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing this correctly?
