Denied Access to a folder which was set to private by the previous installation of XP

's Computer Specifications

My WinXP can't boot so i reinstall another copy on another hdd and boot from
there.
But i'm unable to access my old documents in my old hdd's my document due to
it being set to private.

Can anyone help?
