Demoing a ppc app

This one is off topic here, but if you can point me to the right place I'll
be happy to take it there...

I recently went to a client site to demo our handheld app - I was using the
emulator so I could show it full screen using a vga projector. I use the
emulator day in and day out for development, then at the hotel was game
planning with my business partner - all was going great.

Took it to the client site, and the emulator couldn't be started - couldn't
run the exe. I have NO idea why this happened - other than maybe because of
a wireless network in the building? Does the emulator rely on the network
adapter? Wehen we got back to the hotel, confused, I found that the network
connection was botched for some reason.

ANYWAY, not the subject here... I'm looking to build an online demo of our
ppc app. Are there any tools out there to do such a thing? Something you
would recommend?

Thanks!

Mike

Mike,

The emulator does need a valid IP address. You can get around this problem
in the future by installing and enabling the Microsoft Loopback Adapter and
using that instead of a real network.

Check out Powertoys for .NETCF

Amongst the power-toys is a utility that will show on your PC-screen
what is happening on the PDA. This allows for a Demo of the PDA on an
overhead etc..

We use a card plugged into the CF-card slot, which provides an output
from the PDA to which a projector can be plugged in. Works like a
charm

Got a software for it as well called PK201_203 when I look at the PDA
beside me.

Hope this can help in any way. I find it alot easier to install the
application onto the actual device and demo it from there, using a
projector to show the action on a big screen.

Best regards /Magnus Nilzen
