Will DeltaSynch work with Outlook 2007

I just got the new message today that Outlook Express will no longer work
with Live Hotmail. I don't use Outlook Express anymore since I converted to
Vista. I use Outlook 2007. Oh and I pay a yearly subscription to my Live
Hotmail so I can use it with Outlook Connection.

Are they going to change Outlook 2007 to work with the DeltaSynch and to be
able to access paid Live Hotmail accounts? I spent $107 this year just so I
could use a desktop mail program besides using Windows Mail. I use Windows
Mail for Earthlink email(my DSL provider). But I primarily use Hotmail
because of the 10 gig of space I get for my subscription.

Anyone else hear anything?

Go to Microsoft's download site and get their Outlook Connector plug-in.
Then create the Hotmail account inside the plug-ins interface.

outlook 2007 requires the connector to work. AFAIK, the option of using an
http account type will be gone forever for hotmail - including in outlook.
you will need to use the connector.

I connect to Hotmail (a free account, by the way) with Outlook 2007 using an
HTTP account and I do NOT have the connector installed. I consider myself
very lucky that it still works that way. I didn't like how it worked when I
first tried the connector, so I uninstalled it.

The discussion is not about what works now, but what will work beginning
July 1, 2008. That is when DeltaSync kicks in and HTTP access will no longer
work in OE. It's my understanding that at that point it will also stop
working in Outlook and the connector is required if you want
hotmail/live/msn mail in outlook.

Ah. I was focusing on "outlook 2007 requires the connector to work."
