Dell's EarthLink offer

When I bought my DELL I could have received free EartLink connection but I
picked AOL.

I'm finished with AOL and now have a different ISP.

Every time I boot I get a window to register for EarthLink.

I've left it there in case registering will allow me to use EarthLink free
for a while, even though I picked AOL.

That is, maybe the DELL install offers something different than the many
EartLink offers I get in the mail.

I leave it there in case I want a different ISP some day.

Anyone know anything about what DELL included if free AOL was the choice?

Thanks

Dell usually offers 6 months of AOL free. I'm not sure where the Earthlink
comes from.

They offered, and still do, 6 months of either.
But I wonder if it is really 6 months of both, with one turned on and the
other needs turning on?

Thanks

The Earthlink offer is probably in your startup folder,
and you can stop the register window by going to
Start/Run type in MSCONFIG bring up the configuration
utility, look down the list for Eartlink if it's there
uncheck it and you can close MSCONFIG, you will be asked
to restart the computer to allow this change do so and
after reboot, a dialogue box will appear, check the box
say Ok
