I have researched an answer for my problem but I cannot find an answer,
forget trying to contact Dell Musicmatch, possibly someone can help me.
Occasionally when loading Musicmatch Jukebox 10 I will get a popup
window -

Microsoft visual C++ runtime library
Runtime Error!
Program:C/program files/musicmatch/musicmatchJukebox/mmjb.exe
abnormal program termination
OK

As far as I know, I have done nothing wrong. I have closed out the program
properly when I used it last. This pop window does not happen all the time
but I have had it pop up more than once. This is a little scary as I
would sure hate to lose all my music. Any ideas why this is happening.
I have a new Dell computer that came with Dell Musicmatch 9. I did upgrade
to 10 a couple of months ago. Any comments would be appreciated.

I haven't had this problem, but it does take an abominably *long* time for MMJB
version 10 to load... and perhaps some MS Windows control is objecting.

You could try changing your MMJB preferences under Options, Settings, General,
and uncheck the option to automatically "check *periodically* for MMJB updates",
and do that yourself manually, when you choose. That might be what is making
MMJB stall longer occasionally, when loading.

This is just a SWAG on my part, but I have the update option disabled on mine,
and so far I haven't received any "Runtime Errors" with it. Good luck...

P.S. - If that doesn't help, I posted some links in another MMJB thread
yesterday, that might help you.

Thank you so much for your help.....at least we are hoping that will do the
trick. I unchecked - option to automatically "check *periodically* for
MMJB updates. I am sure hoping this takes care of the problem. As I
mentioned this does not happen very often, but obviously it should not be
happening at all. I have never had a problem with the program is loading
slow, just that pop-up window a couple of times
Thanks again

You're very welcome... I hope that will work too.

When I said MMJB 10 is so slow loading, I was comparing it to their much smaller
application, several versions back, which I loved. Now MMJB is like all the
others, loaded with everything but the kitchen sink.
