In Win 98, I was able to undock and go mobile, with my
wireless network connection still intact, etc. After
upgrading to Win XP Pro, when I undock, the computer
locks up and must be powered off (no CTL-ALT-DEL and
keyboard and mouse are frozen).

I tried to create two profiles, one docked, one undocked,
and I ENABLED the security option that says allow users,
admininstrator, or power user to undock.

Can someone tell me how to proceed?

In the the docked profile you need to disable the wireless
device in the device manager and in the undocked profile
it should be active/enabled.. also the pc should be
powered down before undocking, you can damage some laptops
if you try this powered up...
