When the Dell Latitude D800 is undocked from its docking station, the unit
will not power on when the 'On' button on the notebook is depressed.

When the unit is running and the 'Undock' option is used within 'Start' and
the system powerers down and is removed from the doscking station, the
notebook will not power on using the on button on the notebook. The notebook
has to put back into the docking station to power on from the button on the
docking station, otherwise the notebook will not power on.

The BIOS has been updated to the latest release, the OS has been reloaded,
the device drivers have been configured.

Thank you for your support.

I have the same problem wth a C600 and the docking station. After I undock it
will NOT boot when I prees the power button. I must put it back in the dock
so it will boot again.

Check the hardware profiles in the system properties there should be two
profiles docked and undocked the undocked should be the first in the list.
primary. not sure if this will help but its a start.
