The white padlock on a blue background changes from locked to unlocked every
30 seconds. The monitor adjust buttons do not work but if I hold a button
down when the icon is changing it will not reappear until a few seconds after
I release the button. The monitor acts the same if I connect it to a
different computer. Please help before the monitor go's through my window!
Thanks in anticipation. TR.

And Dell tech support said...? Since the same symptoms happen on a
different computer, you know it's the monitor. Dell monitors have a
warranty so call them.

Try here. I've never had the problem so I don't know if it works.

Hello,

My name is Richard; I work for Dell here in Round Rock, Texas. I want
to comment on this subject to see if the above post fixed the problem
with the monitor. Did the instructions at http://tinyurl.com/2t2oc7,
fix the issue you were experiencing? If however the problem is still
there, contact our technical support at 1-800-822-8965. We can check
on the warranty status of this unit and take appropriate actions to
make this right for you.

Regards,
Richard B
