When the pc boots it gets thru the bios and then when it trys to load the OS
the screen goes black and it says press f1 to try to reboot or f2 to enter
setup. went in and changed the boot order and os loaded fine. Any thoughts?

Hi reaper,

If you have two Hard Drives installed and BIOS is not pointing to the
correct Hard Drive, it might result in the problem you are experiencing.
Also, if you have a Non-bootable CD or Floppy inside the drives.
