Dell 3100cn Printing Delay, Network Connection

I have a new Dell 3100cn color laser printer which works very well,
minus an unexplained delay between printing pages. At first I thought
that it was a lack of memory, but I have since increased the memory to
320M and the problems persists.

The issue appears when I print large color documents that are 10+
pages. The printer will print all of the content, however between each
page, the printer sits idle for up to 90 seconds with the green light
on the front panel blinking. Once it starts to print the page, it is
very fast. What is unexplained is the 90 second delay between pages.

Has anyone else experience this problem? I tend to think it is either
a network configuration issue, or something with how the printer is
spooling. The network connection is pretty straight forward, but I
would be very curious how others have configured the network (both the
router and the printer).
