My Outlook 2002 XP is no longer receiving delivery receipts, and I do go into
options and check it for certain emails, to see if it's getting delivered.
This used to work, but isn't working anymore. I have ran updates, but nothing
comes up for me to download, so not sure where to go from here. Any
suggestions?

whether you receive them depends on the recipients server sends them.
Antispam filters may block them as spam due to their format.

Hi Diane,
I was referring to delivery receipts, not read receipts. I know that those
are at the descretion of the recipient, I am referring to the delivery
receipts that lets you know that your mail was delivered to the recipient. I
used to receive them if I checked it, now I never receive them. I get the
read receipts when someone selects to respond with it.
Do you know anything about the delivery receipts and any thoughts or
suggestions as to why I no longer get them and how I might be able to correct
this?

Thank you,
Sunny

Diane already answered you - sending delivery receipts depends on the recipient's mail SERVER that may be rejecting them as spam or simply does not support sending delivery receipts.

Delivery receipts are entirely out of your hands as it is the configuration of the recipient mail server that determines whether or not delivery receipts are sent.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Sunny asked:

Thank you Milly,
But unfortunately, I am sending this to the same email addresses that I have
sent to previously, that I would receive them back from. So that is why I am
wondering what has happened. I am also receiving a number of new error
messages as well, that don't seem to be in this database, or I am searching
them incorrectly, and they may be issues that are linked. If you happen to
be familiar with any of these that I am going to list below, please let me
know, as I can't seem to find anything in the knowledge base on them as of
yet, and I think it all may be interelated...

0x7c812afb
Runtime Error 217 0001A239
0x0EEDFADE

Have no idea what these are, but they are codes that have come up recently.
Currently, when I am trying to export my Personal Folders, to back it up, it
will go on for a couple of hours (I do have a lot), then it will tell me that
an "error occured", it doesn't shut down the system or Outlook, just quits
the export process.
Any advice on that one, as it's done it twice in the last 24 hours, as I
wanted to back up my data, then uninstall and re-install to see if that would
alleviate all the issues I am now encountering, with the features that are no
longer working... or can you refer me to where to locate assistance, as I
know I've just listed a lot of stuff...

Thanks again,
Sunny

It's very possible that the admins of the recipients' servers decided to
disable honoring delivery receipt requests.

Seem to be related to IE7.
