Recently my outlook has been slow in delivering mail to my inbox. Eventually
the mail shows up, but it can take an hour to get to the inbox, once I hit
send/receive.

Version of Outlook?
Type of mail account (pop, imap)?
Size of the data file?
Intergrated anti virus?
In the meantime run an outlook repair
