In OL 2003, we had the option of having Exchange email deliver to the local
PST file instead of storing on the server. I cannot find that option in OL
2007. Anyone know the answer?

Thanks!

It's in the same place: File | Data File Management. And it's still as a bad an idea as ever.

I know... but it is what is wanted for privacy of the owner, etc.

I went toe File | Data file management and it doesn't give me the "Change
Folder" button for the Exchange account.

Thanks for your help.

I see a large Set as Default button here.

Privacy can and should be managed by permissions on the mailbox and/or its folders, not by taking the data out of the mailbox where it won't be backed up and where the scheduling functionality won't work as expected.

Hi again... figured it out... when I made my PST the default it wasn't the
same file type as the Exchange... So I converted my 97-2003 style PST to
unicode and it all worked fine... thanks for the help.

Thanks... got it... and I hear you about the functionality... I have
explained all that and the risks they are taking... oh well... you can lead
them to water...

Thanks again.
