hi,

how do i delete / end an incomplete driver installation process ?

i was installing the driver software for my bluetooth device, suddenly the
power tripped and the computer switched off in between the setup process.

next, when i swiched on the computer, the installation did not comtinue.
instead it is preventing other start-up programs to run.

if i can permanently disable this unsuccessful installation, everything will
be ok.

kindly help

thanks

I'm not sure exactly what has happened here, whether the driver has
incorrectly installed or whether the ancillary software that comes with most
bluetooth adaptors has not installed completely.

First, just try running the installer again, with any luck it will run
through, overwrite anything already there and complete the setup properly.

If this won't work go into the device manager (Control Panel->System->Device
Manager) and find your bluetooth stick in the list, right click and select
'Uninstall' also tick the box that appears to remove the files. Restart. Now
try running the installer again.

See how that goes, let me know as there is more to try.
