I have several xp hot fixes on mu computer, if I delete these from my add or
delete programs will doing this affect my windows program. I just want it
back the way it was. It seemed to run better before I downloaded these
updates.

When you remove the hotfixes, you're likely removing updates that improve the security of your computer. Many of the updates are directed at attacks from the outside, and others were put in place to prevent the execution of malicious code on your computer.

You can uninstall many of them using add/remove programs. However, I'd
recommend you first try to figure out what's wrong with your computer.
There's a very good reason that these are called "critical updates"......
