I have recently been swarmed with several viruses which
has caused some things to malfunction on my system (Win XP
Home) including (maybe, maybe not...?) the appearance of
an "F" drive which, under "Properties" states that it is
full...but there IS NO other drive! I tried to delete it
but it says that I don't have permission...contact Admin,
etc...but I AM THE OWNER/ADMIN! Anybody got any
suggestions as to how to rid of this thing?? In addition,
my computer crawwwwwwwwwwlllls along now...i mean at a
completely ridiculously slow speed. Any input is greatly
appreciated! Thanks, Scott.

Yes Scott, you have a virus for sure. This is a very bad one. It write a
temporary files on your HD until there is no more space for your computer to
continue to function. Check your Temp folders and delete all your files in
there. In your profile Temp folder in particular. This virus will come back
to you again and again until you remove it.

You need an anti-virus sw, even Microsoft upgrades could not defeat this virus,
this is a very sticky virus. I personally went in my registry to remove it
there and from my HD.

Good luck

Hi There. I also have an unknown drive on my computer: Local Disk Q.
When I view the properties, there are 0 bytes and 0 free space. The file system is RAW

I'm running windows xp pro and symantic antivirus with latest defs.
Symantic will scan it and find no viruses on it.
Still I cannot delete, open or do anything with that mystery drive.
