I have found huge tmp files on my pc in various folders. While I know I can
delete some, there are some I'm not sure I can or should delete.

set###.tmp found in the following files:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB
C:\Program Files\Common Files\MSADC
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ADO
C:\My Download Files
and a huge .dmp file in C:\

The .tmp file in the My downloads file I have no recollection of downloading.

Are the .tmp files in the various Program Files folders safe to delete?

Thank you in advance for any response.

Simply go to run,type:%Temp% Edit,select all,delete all,close out,run disk-
cleanup.

Hi Sue , move ( delete ) them to the recycle bin ; if after a week
everything is still running , delete them .

Try the deletion in Safe mode and also you can use this tool:
http://www.ccleaner.com
Read the help file comes with it as you can make a deletion on reboot.
Scan your system for malware and viruses run disk clean up.
HTH.
