I am trying to delete temp files such as this example -

Name In Folder
Type

SSMS39E1C8B0-1551-4C0B-9 C:\Windows\Temp\wrstemp Tmp File

I get a message saying it cannot be deleted because it is being used be
another person or program. Close any program that may be using this file.
Ihave no open program that I am aware of other than this one. I have 116 of
these temp file (never had so many). Please please how do I delete them

Use Disk Cleanup to clear the temp files. Any left behind are being used by
the system..

Actually, there are quite a few programs running in both the foreground and
background.
Process Explorer can tell you which program has a handle on the file (i. e.
has it open).
Process Explorer can delete the handle which effectively closes it.
Be really certain that you want to do this because some programs do not like
having their temporary files deleted.
Jim

These programs will tell you what has locked the files
and let you unlock them so you can delete them.
