Deleting sample music

      1st Feb 2005
Is there any way do delete the sample music that comes with windows xp? I
have seachthe internet and tried to do it as the administrator, but it tell
me i don;t have access, any one have any other suggestions?

      1st Feb 2005
Are you referring to the samples such as Beethoven, etc that came with XP?
You can use Windows Explorer and rightclick the specific files and click
delete.
If denied access, rightclick the file and click Properties Then uncheck the
Read-only block, click Apply and OK, now it should delete.

Those are the songs, and i've tried clearing the attributes. It won't let me
even when i log in as the Administrator.

The songs are being activated by one of your media players, very likely WMP.
To have access to delete them, boot in Safe Mode, that should work.
One other way is to disable WMP from starting is running MSCONFIG.
