I recently bought a 4port usb hub and connected respectively 4 devices that
were hooked up to my motherboard's ports.

Everything works fine but is there a way to remove the obsolete references
to the usb devices in the root hub???

eg.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\Vid_147a&Pid_e019\5&34bc17f6&0&1

The reason is that I use mediatexx'es Uice along with a usb remote receiver
and I can't select the device I want (selected as hardware ID) because they
are all the same.

Any help on that??

Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Manager, delete/remove ALL
obsolete/superseded items, reboot.
