Hi, I have just switched over to an IMAP server and noticed that when using
outlook the 'delete' is permanently purging the emails from the server. I
would like the emails to delete to the Trash folder and not completely purge
off the server. When I log into the webmail, I can use the delete function
and they messages will stay in the Trash folder until I choose to purge them.
I don't have auto purge on, outlook or the server. Can I create a rule that
will not purge them off the server?

No, when deleting an item from an IMAP folder they will show with a
strikethrough font. They will still be on the server then and also still in
Outlook.
Only when you purge the deleted items will the message be permanently
removed from Outlook and the server.
You can set your view in Outlook not to show deleted items in a folder
though.

Version of Outlook? Look on the Edit menu for Purge, when viewing any of the
IMAP folders.
