Deleting local files or directories taking lot of time

Hello,

deleting (i. e. moving to Recycle Bin) local (i. e. not of network
connections) files or directories on my PC usually take a lot of time even
if the size of the file or directory is small.
Other file transactions like copying or moving files or directories are - of
course dependent on their size - comparingly quick.
I already defragmented my drives.

What may be the reason, that deleting of local files or directories take a
lot of time?
How can deletion be sped up?

That is not my problem. I observed the 5 (good!) hints in the blog above. My
computer is fast (ok, not always, but mostly) - only deleting (even small)
files of local directories take some time. Copying and moving is quite
faster.
I guess that may be a Windows problem, why ever.
