For anyone naive enough to be reading this, and thinking about paying the
jerk, the Google Toolbar is a very effective pop-up blocker and seems to be
able to differentiate between a 'legitimate' pop up (e.g. a link opening in
a new window) and adverts. And, best of all, it's free.
