I am using win 2k and am having dificulties removing some files. I have tried
deleting the files from explorer and from the command prompt. I have tried
*.* and deleting individual files. I can not rename the files. They do not
open up in their applications (word and excell). Their properties/attributes
are not available.

What else can I do?

Regards Mark

A good starting point would be to quote one of the file
names you're having a problem with, and to state what
precisely happens when you try to delete or rename them
from the Command Prompt.
