deleting files publishing

Weird problem.

Not long ago when I would delete files on my local web and publish to the
remote I would be asked if I wanted to delete the files on the remote site.

Now if I delete a file on the local and publish it doesn't ask and it
doesn't delete, yet I don't recall changing anything.

(I do know that the first law of computing is that if it worked yesterday
and not touched it it should work today - I just don't know how I broke it
or how to fix it)

Thanks
Norm

Open local web and recalculate hyperlinks.
Close local and open remote and recalculate hyperlinks.
Close remote and then from the local web try publishing changed pages only.

Every now&then you should do a full publish, that is to say:
Publish/Options/ ...Overwrite, blah blah blah.

This will give you the prompt you were looking for, and clean out some of the old junk by comparing local with server.

Actually, a full publish doesn't delete any files, so you would have to publish a second time with
Change Page Only selected.
