I am trying to delete files and keep getting this message
"Cannot delete file: Access denied. Make sure the disc is not full or
write-protected and that the file is currently not in use."
The file is not in use, I have tried rebooting, the file was never
protected, and nothing I have done will let me delete the file. Any
suggestions?

Are you trying to delete from Windows Explorer?
Are you trying to delete from the hard drive?
What is your permissions level?
If you're in Windows Explorer, right click on the file and select
Properties. Do you see a tab labeled Security? Check the properties of the
folder the same way.

The file is on my desktop, I am the administrator, and the file is not
protected under the security tab. I have rebooted, and tried to delete in
safe mode. It is read only and when I tried to change the attributes there
was another error message that said I could not do that, but I told it to
ignore the message, it changed it, but it still would not delete. Any other
suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I am out of ideas.
Thanks

I tried this, and I still can't delete the file. The message unlocker gives
is "The object could not be deleted. Do you want to perform the requested
delete operation at next reboot?" I said yes, rebooted and got the same
message again! Thanks for the link, any other suggestions?
