Whenever I go to delete files under options, I get the message after awhile
that "this program is not responding". What can I do?

Sounds like one of the folders, History or the TIF folder - whichever you're
trying to clear - may be damaged.
Delete it manually: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
Or have a third party program do it for you: http://www.ccleaner.com
