I have about 4,000 emails piled up in my inbox because every time I delete an
email, it just crossess it out. So, I've tried ot right click on the message
and click send to deleted items folder and then empty the folder and it still
leaves all my messages in the inbox crossed out. Does anyone know how to get
rid of these emails so I don't have to sift through 4,000 emails and free up
some space on my hard drive?

Any help would be very appreciated.

That means you have IMAP-MS Exchange and the way to delete is to select Edit
on the menu, Purge Deleted Items.
