Does anybody else agree that MS should do somthing worthwhile and add a
feature to remove duplicate emails? Afterall, how hard could that programming
possibly be???

Not really. What do you do to generate duplicates? It certainly doesn't do
this automatically.

This has nothing to do with MS programming .

The reason you are getting duplicates is because of your AV email incoming and outgoing scanning. Also Anti Spam filtering can cause this.

Suggestion is to disable your AV email scanning and your anti spam filtering.

Your main AV engine will still catch any malware and or virus being sent.

One vote from me.

I just installed Office 2007 on my laptop, I had been using the Corel stuff
forever.

Not only did MS upgrade my Outlook Express to Outlook without asking me, now
I have to spend more $$ on a fix for the duplicate email problem-a problem I
did not have before I installed Office 2007.

Never had a duplicate email with OE, and have always used Norton AV. That
tells me that Outlook is the cause.

You shouldn't need to add a feature to a program to fix what appears to be a
bug...just fix the bug.
