Deleting directories

I had a directory with a previous installation on it. I'm running
out of space, and cannot delete it because it has some invisible files
in it. I can rename it .

I went to the command line and changed their attributes, and found two
directories: recycled & recycler.

Recycler has Nprotect files that I can't get rid of - I suspect they
might be left over Norton protect files.

Any suggestions?

You can't delete files that are being used or locked by some other
application. Likewise for folders. The files in the Norton Recycle Bin are
hidden and protected so you can't normally delete them.

Introduction to the Norton Protected Recycle Bin:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...c?OpenDocument
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...3?OpenDocument

How to empty the bin:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...c?OpenDocument
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...d?OpenDocument

Utility apps:
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

HTH
