Deleting data from different search sites

I am a searcher, and have the need to visit many sites to search for
information. The names that I enter on these different sites are saved for
some reason.
With XP, I was able to open up the string of saved names, and just hit the
delete button, and they would be gone.
With Vista this is not possible. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?
Right now, I have to highlight each name, and then delete one by one. This
is very time consuming.

Thanx,
