It's not clear what context you're working in, but here are a couple of things that might apply.
If you have already used the citation in a Word 2007 document then it is locked from deletion from the 'Current list' (check marked)
in
References tab=>Citations & Bibliography=>Manage Sources
If you haven't used the Citation in the document you can select it in the current list in that dialog and click delete to remove its
availability from the current document or select it in the Master List and delete it from your sources library.
If you have already used it in the document you can first remove the Citation from the document by either (a) clicking on the
acetate frame of the inserted citation and using 'delete' and then remove it from the 'Current List' or (b) right click on the
Acetate frame of the Citation, convert it to static text, delete the text and then remove it from the 'Current List'
