i have a folder with many files (they are generated by a program every
15 minutes).

so now I want to delete the ones created at 45 minute past the hour
(as the file name has the time stamp 12 45, 01 45, 02 45, etc, to
signify the time created)

so i searched for "45" for the file names... and i get all the results
in about 10 seconds.

now if i highlight the first 20 files and press DELETE, it will say
"preparing to recycle" and it will take a few minutes before it will
ask me "are you sure to delete?"

if i select ALL files and press DELETE, it can be 20 minutes and it
has no confirmation notice yet.

i didn't see this in Win XP. So Vista is a step back from XP in this
regard?

than 2 seconds.
