Hello = I use FP2000 to publish my website. I recently deleted many old files
from my website folder on my harddrive = however, these files are still
accessible online. I have published all pages, not just changed pages, and
included subwebs - but the files still remain online. I sometimes am asked
can't find file in root web do you want to delete = but I haven't been
prompted by this in regards to the deleted files still online.

"I have published all pages, not just changed pages"

Unless you publish changed pages only, it will not delete them from the
remote server.

How did you delete these files, from within FP or via Windows Explorer/My Computer and when you
published, did you select to Publish Change Pages Only?

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a

I have either deleted files directly from FP or I have saved the file into an
archived folder on my hard drive, and then deleted the web instance of that
file from FP = and I have chosen published change pages only -

From the site hosting my web i can see the files that are listed online that
should have been removed. But have been cautioned by provider that i can't
delete using the FTP since I publish in FP. if that is at all helpful/

When you say you "deleted the web instance of that file from FP" is that from within the current
open web / site in FP?

Try this, Open the live/remote site directly in FP, then delete any files and folders that should be
deleted, then publish the live/remote site back to your local copy using Change Pages Only.
