Deleted User Defined Field

We are using BCM for Outlook 2007. The users have created many user-defined
fields. Someone accidentally deleted one of these fields. I saw on
Microsoft's site that once you delete the field all the associated data is
also deleted. Is there any way to get this data back? We have a backup of the
database, but a lot of the data has changed since the backup, so a full
restore is not possible. Can we somehow extract the data from the backup and
merge it into the existing bcm database?
