Deleted protocol

Im wondering if anyone can help me... a protocol on my
network laptop got deleted by accident. It was Client
for microsoft networks, so as a result, i can't share any
files. It's not in 'install'. Can someone please tell
me how to get this back

right click on My Network Places
select properties
(window should open up to Network connections)
select your Lan connection (default)
if no lan connection is available click on create a new
connection. if you can't find a lan on these menus you
have another problem.
ok.
right click on your lan connection and press properties
press install
select client
and go from there. Ms client should be listed if you
deleted it previously.

hope this helps this is from memory I may of forgotten a
step or two.
